Polyphthalamide Polymers （VESTAMID HT plus）

“VESTAMID® HT plus” is an aromatic polyamide (PPA) that has been developed to meet an recent need for high heat resistant nylon. Its combination of high heat resistance, high mechanical strength and excellent chemical resistance allows customers to solve difficult problems in their product development, making this product an ideal material. There are two types of “VESTAMID® HT plus”, Polyamide6T and Polyamide10T. Polyamide10T is a biomass plastics because it uses a plant-derived raw material.




1. VESTAMID®HT plus (PA6T)

  • good dimensional stability
  • excellent chemical resistance
  • high resistance to lead-free soldering

2. VESTAMID® HT plus (PA10T)




Properties

  • Biomass plastic made from form coal-derived terephthalic acid and plant-derived decamethylenediamine
  • extremely high heat resistance
  • high glass transition point
  • lower moisture absorption than Polyamide6T
  • wider range of acceptable molding temperatures than Polyamide6T
  • high mechanical strength
  • good dimensional stability
  • excellent chemical resistance
  • high resistance to lead-free soldering

“VESTAMID® HT plus” is suitable for under-hood components or electrical components used in the automobile industry, and SMT-compatible electronic components for connectors and LED’s reflector used in the electronics industry.
