We, Daicel-Evonik Ltd., shall acknowledge the importance of personal information, and hereby pledge to devote thorough efforts to the proper treatment and protection of personal information, based on the following policy.

1.Acquisition of Personal Information

Upon acquisition of the personal information, we shall stipulate the objectives of the said acquisition, as well as notify, announce or indicate the objectives of the acquisition to the suppliers of the said personal information which are customers, business clients and all other parties supplying the personal information to us (hereinafter referred to as the "Suppliers").

2.Use of Personal Information

We shall use the personal information that we acquired only for the purpose of attainment of the objectives of the acquisition stipulated in "1" above. We shall not use such personal information for any purpose other than the purpose of attainment of those objectives without the consent of the Suppliers.

3.Supply of Personal Information to Third Parties

We shall not disclose or supply the personal information that we acquired from the Suppliers to any third party, except information which:
* is approved for release by the consent of the Suppliers;
* is disclosed to outsourcing companies which assume any responsibility of confidentiality regarding such personal information, within the sphere required for attainment of the aforementioned objectives;
* is shared for use with our group companies or other parties, as provided for in Act on the Protect of Personal Information;
* is processed as statistical data into status rendering identification of individual Suppliers unfeasible.
* is disclosed in accordance with laws or other regulations requiring disclosure thereof;
* is disclosed in case of emergency to protect life, body or property of human being.

4.Management of Personal Information

We shall manage securely the personal information supplied to us by person(s) responsible for such management whom we determine. Further, we shall devise countermeasures with respect to information security and unauthorized access to prevent the loss, destruction, fabrication, divulgation or other misuse of the personal information.

5.Disclosure, Revision, Deletion, Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

When receiving requests for disclosure, revision, deletion, suspension of use or other treatment of supplied personal information, based on the request from the Suppliers in question, we shall confirm that the requesting party or person is in fact the Suppliers in question and respond adequately to such requests within reasonable periods of time.

6.Inquiries Concerning Personal Information

We shall respond sincerely to the inquiries from the Suppliers and exert ourself to achieve a speedy solution to the claims, consultations and other inquiries.

7.Compliance

We shall comply with laws, ordinances and other standards, as well as guidelines, pertaining to the protection of the personal information.
