Daicel-Evonik’s PEEK Resin VESTAKEEP-J Adopted by Tsubaki Yamakyu Chain in their Plastic Conveyor Chains

2017.01.16

Daicel-Evonik’s (Head Office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President: André Noppe) PEEK Resin VESTAKEEP-J has been adopted by Tsubaki Yamakyu Chain (Head Office: Minato, Tokyo; President: Ken Omori) for use in their plastic modular chains.

By making use of the high chemical resistance and low outgassing properties of VESTAKEEP-J, it can also be used in conveyor chains in a wide variety of food machinery. Further, its high heat resistance makes it suitable for sterilization methods using acid detergent and high temperature disinfection in order to protect against bacteria such as O157.

In general, whereas metal chains require lubricant in order to maintain their lubricating ability, VESTAKEEP-J chains do not require any lubricant due to their excellent abrasion resistance, so they can be used in dry and clean environments. Also, noise can be reduced due to low fricative sound during operation.
