R-COMPO, a composite film distributed by Daicel-Evonik Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Andre Noppe) has been adopted as the sole material for the functional men's dress shoes, Regal Walker 240W/241W/242W, which will be released by Regal Corporation (Head Office: Urayasu, Chiba; President: Kojiro Iwasaki).

 

The highly functional material R-COMPO, which has a good track record in the sports shoes industry, has been adopted as the material for men's dress shoes for the first time. Established in 1902, Regal Corporation is a leading shoe manufacturer with a long history, and the adoption of R-COMPO by Regal has created new possibilities of functional shoes in the men's dress shoes industry.

 

R-COMPO, a composite film made up of highly functional polyamide resin and high-performing rubber, provides excellent gripping performance and abrasion resistance against both dry and wet road surfaces; thus users can wear the functional men's dress shoes Regal Waker 240W/241W/242W reliably even on rainy days. Moreover, the use of polyamide resin can reduce the weight of the shoes to support the foot motions of business people.

 

As the resin layer and rubber are directly bonded to each other with K&K bonding technology, which does not require adhesives, it reduces man-hours for the bonding process and makes the product environmentally friendly.
