Daicel-Evonik’s PEEK resin VESTAKEEP-J has been adopted for use in machine element parts for semiconductors

Daicel-Evonik Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Andre Noppe) is pleased to announce that our PEEK resins, “VESTAKEEP-J ZV7801”, have been adopted as a raw material for the elctric wire binding bands developed by Nippon Chemical Screw & Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, President: Mr. Fumio Hanji).

These elctric wire binding bands utilize VESTAKEEP-J  ZV7801, which has been alloyed to the nano-level using technology that finely didsperses PEEK material and flouride resin. VESTAKEEP-J  ZV7801, which has a low elastic modulus (about 80%) compared to pure PEEK (100%), has realized a combination of both strong and flexible properties. Also, with the feature of the white colour not present in PEEK resin, improved resistance to acids formed in high temperatures, and a low dielectric constant, it posseses unique features not seen in existing products.

Additionally, in productivity, with simple release properties and high fluidity by adding hermoplastic flouride polymer,  we have been able add width to mold conditions and establish stable mass-production.

At Daicel-Evonik we aim to raise our reliabilty even further and are focussing on domestic compounds in order to meet our customers‘ needs.
