Daicel-Degussa Ltd. (headquartered in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, under President Taiji Yamabe) will change its name as follows with effect from January 1, 2008.
The name change follows the renaming of the company's Germany parent Degussa GmbH to Evonik Degussa GmbH following the establishment of Evonik Industries this September. Following a period of examination, the name change of Daicel-Degussa was officially decided at the extraordinary meeting of shareholders held today, December 18.
Under the new name we will further enhance our collaboration and cooperation with other companies in the Group in order to extend our strengths.
