 Since 1980, DAIAMID, VESTOSINT® fine powders have been used as additives in paints. Reasons for using polyamide 12 fine powders are:
- increased abrasion resistance
- increased elasticity
- reduced soiling
- flat matting agents
- finish texturing agents
- reduced friction
In addition DAIAMID, VESTOSINT® fine powders are eminently suited for the manufacture of thermoplastic composites of glass, carbon, aramide or steel fibers. Unlike duroplastic materials, they are subsequently formable. They can be wrapped, pressed, laminated, woven, and so forth. They are used in the construction industry, aeronautics, automotive industry and in the offshore field.
The round particle shape makes DAIAMID, VESTOSINT® fine powders ideal for use in cosmetics. This produces a pleasant sensation on application to the skin. The high specific surface of cosmetic powders is utilized variously by the cosmetics industry.
