 Clothing originally served purely for protection. But, very early on, people started dressing to please, influence, and attract others, to distinguish themselves from others, or to blend into the crowd. Today's fabrics provide clothing designers with the means to give free rein to their creativity. Interlinings are incorporated into garments for a perfect fit, and these should, of course, be invisible even under ultra-fine top cloth. For bonding these materials to each other, we offer a wide range of VESTAMELT® copolyamide and copolyester hotmelt adhesives.
- The properties of VESTAMELT® hotmelt adhesives are adapted so as to match the corresponding to cloth.
- They can be applied with any of the processes commonly used in the textile industry.
- They can be set in a large numbers of ways, and in some cases simply by ironing.
- They are unaffected by cleaning, washing, and steam.
- The structure and feel of the interlined material remain unchanged.
- The hotmelt adhesives possess high reboundability.
- They bond very well even to surfaces that are not easily set.
- VESTAMELT® hotmelt adhesives can also be processed in the form of films, for example, to fix functional parts such as "wearable electronics" on to clothing.
