 In signal processing, TROGAMID® is used in various injection-molded parts; VESTAMID® is used in cable sheathing.
- Fiber-optic signal processing uses polymer optical fibers, abbreviated POF, that are protected by a double jacket system of modified VESTAMID® compounds. It affords mechanical protection, easy handling and efficient flame protection.
- Semi-rigid battery cables of VESTAMID® L have the required flexibility and resilience for the required defined shape, and are highly resistant to battery acid and oils.
- Thanks to the plastic-rubber composite, it is possible to construct a plastic spark plug tube of TROGAMID® BX with fluorinated rubber seals on both sides. The blend provides very high rigidity in combination with high heat deflection temperature, low warpage and good surface quality.
- High dimensional stability, heat resistance and dielectric strength are required properties of a material for solenoid valves of anti-block braking system (ABS). DAIAMID have performed well both for coiling bobbins and housings thanks to good sealing condition leading water-proof function in insert molding.
- Gears made of DAIAMID have been applied for audio equopments such as CD and DVD systems to remove a noise in operation. It performs well in dimensional stability and long life use.
