pleased to announce the introduction of "VESTAKEEP®" PEEK resin
for the manufacture of ultra-precision bearing cages (retainers) by TAKAI SEIKI
Corporation (Head Office: Fujisawa-shi, Kanagawa, President: Kengo Takai),
which is an established manufacturer specializing in various types of precision bearings.
TAKAI SEIKEI has given the following reasons for its introduction of VESTAKEEP®:

3. Trilateral product development system, including end users
4. Cost advantage and strong market competitiveness
The bearing cages made from VESTAKEEP® have been devloped based on high-level molding and metal processing technologies of TAKAI SEIKI.
Additionally, our technical center (Himeji-shi, Hyogo) has actively supported the company's molding trials to reproduce the complicated shapes of molded products, thereby
contributing to the realization of mass production.
Given its excellent resistance to both chemicals and staining, and its high sliding property, it is expected that VESTAKEEP® will, in due course, be applied in the machine tool field (requiring ultra high-speed rotation property), hybrid cars (requiring long life for high temperature use and high dimensional stability), the medical field, and in Clean Room liquid-crystal glass transfer processes (requiring high abrasion resistance and low aggression toward other materials).
TAKAI SEIKI has operated for over 100 years as a manufacturer specializing in bearing parts. In 2004, it expanded into new business areas by initiating manufacture of resin-made
bearings, machined metal parts, resin-made cages for small- and medium-sized bearings, and super engineering plastic products, including PEEK.
At SEMICON Japan 2009, to be held at Makuhari Messe on December 2 - 4, 2009, TAKAI SEIKI will exhibit and introduce various types of bearings made from VESTAKEEP® (Booth number: 6D-807).
